1986 - Year of growth for American National Corporation (ANC)
American National Corporation, then a publicly owned, single bank holding company, became a privately held, "multi-bank" holding company.
The State Bank of Elk Creek purchased Johnson County Bank, Tecumseh, Nebraska from the FDIC.
1989 - American National Bank of Sarpy County was established
1990 - Another year of growth for ANC
Purchases of Northern Bank, Midwest Federal Savings and Loan Association, and Heritage Federal Savings Bank were consummated. Combined assets of American National Corporation exceeded $400 million after these transactions.
1994 - American National Corporation now includes American National Bank (Omaha) which was formed when American National Bank Omaha and Northern Bank merged; American National Bank Nebraska City, Home State Bank and Johnson County Bank; American National Bank
