Drug Free and Credit Report Statement
The very nature of banking, with its great reliance on public confidence and its influence on the community's economic life, makes it mandatory that the integrity of our employees be of the highest degree. Proper handling of all types of financial obligations is an important aspect of total job responsibility. Employees are expected to manage their personal finances in such a way that does not adversely impact job performance or the Bank's image in the community, including keeping all credit accounts current and no excessive debt.
American National Corporation will conduct credit checks of applicants for employment in positions that directly handle money or money in-kind. In addition, the Bank may conduct credit checks on current employees as management deems necessary or when current employees are being considered for promotions or transfers to positions where financial status may have an impact on an employee's qualifications to perform the job.
In an effort to promote a safe workplace, quality performance, efficiency, and security, American National Corporation is dedicated to maintaining a drug-free workplace relative to illegal drugs, alcohol, or the improper use of legal substances.
Final candidates for hire will be scheduled for testing post-offer pre-employment. An applicant's refusal to submit to testing or testing positive will result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
American National Corporation (including its affiliates American National Bank, People's National Bank, and Residential Mortgage Services) considers applicants for all positions, and employees are treated during employment, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other prohibited basis of discrimination, as provided under applicable state and federal law.
