Community Commitment
American National Bank has invested considerable energy and financial resources in pursuit of building stronger relationships within the communities we serve since 1887. We are proud to have a long history of providing financial support to over 200 nonprofit and community organizations annually.
Our primary focus is to serve low- to moderate-income individuals through educational opportunities, human service and community development programs. Our commitment to the community goes beyond dollars and cents; it is also supported by the many employees who give generously of their time and talent.
Education Programs
American National Bank believes every child should have the opportunity to receive a quality education. We support scholarship programs to educational organizations that support students who require financial assistance. We offer mentoring programs for underserved youth and young adults. Every year students from low- to moderate-income families are invited to actively work in the bank, learning new skills and preparing for the future.
Health and Human Services
Each year gifts are given directly to nonprofit organizations meeting health and human service needs. The bank actively participates in many community collection efforts to support low- to moderate-income families.
Community Development Programs
American National Bank is involved in projects that promote long-term growth for low-to moderate-income communities. These projects often qualify for credit under the Community Reinvestment Act and result in affordable housing, schools, economic development, community revitalization and job creation.
